We are the Akwa Ibom Guild of Community Development Advocates (AKGCODA) — a coalition of over 120 civil society organisations committed to strengthening citizen voices, promoting accountability, and advancing inclusive development across Akwa Ibom State.
The Akwa Ibom Guild of Community Development Advocates (AKGCODA) is the recognised umbrella body for civil society organisations in Akwa Ibom State. Since our founding in 2008 and formal registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2014, we’ve served as a united platform for advocacy, collaboration, and systemic reform.
We work hand-in-hand with NGOs, CBOs, FBOs, and grassroots advocates across the state to:
✅ Promote inclusive development that leaves no one behind
✅ Strengthen governance and demand accountability at all levels
✅ Build a vibrant, ethical, and impactful civil society ecosystem
