Open to legally registered NGOs, CBOs, and faith-based organisations operating in Akwa Ibom State with a primary mandate in development, advocacy, or community service. Full Members have voting rights, access to all Forum activities, and eligibility for leadership positions.
Open to organisations that support AKGCODA’s objectives but may be based outside Akwa Ibom State or primarily operate at the national level. Associate Members participate in Forum activities but do not hold voting rights or leadership positions.
Open to informal community groups, networks, and coalitions that are not yet formally registered with the CAC but are actively engaged in community development work. Affiliates may be supported toward formal registration through AKGCODA’s organisational development programme.
Complete the online or paper-based Membership Application Form, providing details of your organisation’s registration status, mandate, leadership, and activities.
Submit the following: CAC Certificate of Registration (where applicable), Constitution or Governing Document, List of current Board/Executive members, Brief organisational profile (1-2 pages), and most recent Annual Report or activity summary.
The Membership Committee reviews the application against the Forum’s membership criteria and code of conduct within 14 working days.
Upon approval, the applicant pays the applicable membership fee, signs the Forum’s Code of Conduct, and is formally inducted into the membership register.
A Certificate of AKGCODA Membership is issued, and the organisation is listed in the Forum’s public member directory on this website.
Annual membership fees can be paid via the following channels:
Bank Transfer: Transfer to the designated AKGCODA account (details provided upon application approval).
Mobile Banking: Payments via mobile banking apps linked to any Nigerian commercial bank.
Cash Payment: Cash payments may be made directly at the AKGCODA Secretariat in Uyo during official working hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
The Akwa Ibom Guild of Community Development Advocates (AKGCODA) is the recognised umbrella body for civil society organisations in Akwa Ibom State.
